Kristin Slominski hails from a family with deep interior design roots. Her grandmother was recently honored as the oldest living person to have owned a furniture showroom. Kristin’s mother, uncle and aunt have also been involved in the interior design and furnishings industry for over 30 years. Kristin started in the industry during high school and college by creating displays at Robb &Stucky Interiors in Scottsdale. After earning a BS in business and psychology from ASU Kristin worked as the customer service rep for Lorts Furniture and eventually became Director of Marketing. For the past ten years Kristin has worked as an independent designer and has enjoyed working on very diverse projects.
With her psychology background, Kristin enjoys understanding her clients’ interior design desires and needs and loves the satisfaction she derives from happy, satisfied clients. Kristin loves to marry the two aspects of interior design—the creative aspect and the business management side. Having “grown up” in the interior design world surrounded by creative relatives, Kristin has a keen eye for the environment and how it relates to design. She can interpret the latest design trends for her clients to create the home of their dreams and as a result of her business degree, she completes projects within budget and on time. Additionally, with a psychology degree she has the ability to find common ground for couples who have disparate design styles.
In her free time Kristin enjoys spending time with her four young sons, running marathons, hiking, camping and cooking.
